2. Ethical Principles and Workplace Conduct

Build Trust and Credibility

Our chemical company code of conduct helps ensure trust, transparency, and regulatory compliance throughout every business relationship.

Trust is built through integrity, consistency, and ethical decisions. Our behavior must always support long-term success and credibility.

Respect for the Individual

We ensure a respectful and inclusive environment. Discrimination, harassment, or offensive behavior are not tolerated at Equilex.

Employees are encouraged to raise ethical concerns freely. Managers must foster transparency and act when issues arise.

4. Health, Safety and Environmental Responsibility

Equilex maintains a safe and sustainable working environment. All employees must follow health and safety guidelines outlined in the company manual.


5. Conflicts of Interest

We avoid personal interests interfering with our professional duties. If in doubt, disclose potential conflicts to management or HR.

  • Accepting personal benefits from suppliers
  • Owning stakes in partner companies

6. Gifts and Business Courtesies

Accepting Business Courtesies

Only modest, occasional gifts or meals may be accepted if they are not excessive, frequent, or intended to influence decisions.

Offering Courtesies

Any offered courtesy must reflect fair practice and must not appear as an attempt to gain unfair business advantage.


7. Financial Integrity and Records

Accurate Public Disclosures

All public and financial disclosures must be truthful and timely. Misrepresentation is not acceptable.

Corporate Recordkeeping

Records must be accurate, complete, and maintained according to applicable regulations and company policies.


8. Accountability and Integrity

We encourage employees to speak up when in doubt. Ethical behavior goes beyond law — it is about doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Key Questions to Ask:

  • Is this action in line with our Code?
  • Would I be comfortable explaining it publicly?
  • Is this the ethical and loyal choice?

9. Confidentiality and Company Resources

We protect confidential company and client information. Company resources are used primarily for business purposes, with reasonable personal use allowed.
