What are the main applications of D40?

D40 is a light dearomatised hydrocarbon solvent (<0.5% aromatics) used in paints and coatings, industrial cleaning, metal degreasing, and agrochemical formulations. Its low odor makes it suitable for indoor applications.

D40 has a boiling range around 155-190°C. This gives it a moderate evaporation rate — slower than white spirit but faster than heavier grades like D80 or D100.

D40’s aromatic content is below 0.5%, compared to 15-20% for conventional white spirits. This results in lower odor, reduced toxicity, and better regulatory compliance under VOC directives.

D40 is supplied in drums (200L), IBCs (1000L), and isotanks for bulk delivery. We arrange ADR-compliant transport throughout Europe.
