What are the main applications of D120?

D120 is an extra-heavy dearomatised solvent used in protective coatings, bituminous products, process oils, and industrial lubricant formulations. Its very high boiling point makes it nearly non-volatile.

D120 sits between traditional solvents and process oils. It offers better defined composition and lower aromatic content than naphthenic oils, while maintaining high solvency for demanding formulations.

D120 typically has a flash point above 120°C, providing safety advantages for enclosed environments and simplified regulatory classification for storage and transport.
