SN 250’s higher boiling range (230-290°C) provides very slow evaporation and extended open time. It’s chosen for thick-film coatings, elevated-temperature processes, and applications where minimal VOC loss is critical.

SN 250 typically contains 10-25% aromatics, with the exact level depending on refinery source. The higher molecular weight components in this fraction provide strong solvency for demanding applications.

SN 250 typically has a flash point above 60-80°C, reducing storage classification requirements compared to lighter naphthas. ADR Class 3 still applies, but ATEX zones may be less restrictive.
