What are the main applications of D60?

D60 is a medium-light dearomatised solvent used in coatings, adhesives, industrial cleaning, and as a carrier in agrochemical and metalworking formulations. It provides good open time in coating systems.

D60 has a higher boiling range (~180-210°C) than D40, giving slower evaporation and longer open time. Both are dearomatised (<0.5% aromatics), but D60 is preferred when slower drying is needed.

D60 is not water-miscible, but it can be used as a coalescing aid in hybrid coating systems. For water-based applications, glycol ethers are typically more suitable.
